Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and The Lion & The Lake, LLC when you use thelionandthelake.com or buy anything from us. Please read them. By buying a program or using the site, you are agreeing to them.

I have written these in plain English rather than the usual wall of capital letters. They are still a real agreement.

1. Who you are dealing with

The Lion & The Lake, LLC is a single-member limited liability company organized in the State of Michigan. Elizabeth Reynolds is the sole member.

2. What we sell, and what it is not

This is education.

The Lion & The Lake sells courses, challenges, community access, and coaching about nervous system regulation. The material teaches how the nervous system responds to stress and offers practices you can try. It is grounded in my own experience and in what I have studied.

This is not medical care, mental health care, therapy, counseling, or diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for any of them.

I am not a doctor, a therapist, a psychologist, a nurse, a dietitian, or a licensed healthcare provider of any kind. Nothing in any program, email, worksheet, audio, or community post is medical advice or a treatment plan, and nothing here creates a provider and patient relationship or a therapist and client relationship between us.

What this means for you, practically:

  • If you are exhausted in a way that will not lift, please have it looked at by a doctor. Persistent tiredness has real medical causes worth ruling out. This work goes alongside that, not instead of it.
  • If you are under the care of a doctor or a therapist, keep going. Do not stop, change, or delay anything they told you to do because of something you read or heard here.
  • If you are in crisis, this is not the right resource. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 for an emergency.
  • Use your judgment with the practices. If a breathing exercise or a movement makes you feel worse, stop doing it.

No promises about results. People experience these programs differently. Nothing on this site or in these programs is a guarantee of any particular outcome, and any description of what others have experienced is not a promise of what you will.

3. Who can buy

You must be 18 or older to buy a program or take part in a community. By purchasing, you are confirming that you are.

4. Buying, prices, and payment

Prices are listed on each offer page in US dollars and are charged at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by our payment provider, and by buying you agree to their terms as well.

Founding pricing. Some offers are sold at a founding price that is lower than the price they will carry later. When we say a price will rise, we mean it, and it will.

We can change prices. A price change never affects a purchase you already made.

Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it.

5. Refunds, and what happens if life gets in the way

These are the terms for From Chaos to Calm, our 7-day challenge. Other programs state their own terms on their own pages.

  • Refunds are available through the end of Day 2, no questions asked. Email [email protected] and we will process it. You do not have to explain yourself.
  • After the end of Day 2, all sales are final. By then you have the material.
  • If life gets in the way, email before Day 3 and we will move you to the next round at no charge instead of refunding you.
  • If we cancel a round or fail to deliver it, you get a full refund or a seat in the next round, your choice.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with and generally take five to ten business days to appear, depending on your bank.

6. The $97 credit toward From Lion to Lake

Your $97 can be credited in full toward From Lion to Lake or Inner Circle. Because this is money, here are the exact terms.

You have to join the Founding Cohort Waitlist, and buying the challenge does not do that for you. Joining is a separate step you take yourself, by clicking a link in one of our emails or inside the community and signing up. We will never add you automatically, and registering for the challenge does not put you on the list.

The deadline is the end of Day 7 of the round you are in. Joining is free, there is no card and no payment attached, and you are not committing to enroll in anything. We will show you where to join on Day 4 and remind you on Day 6 and Day 7.

If you do not join by the end of Day 7, the credit for that round expires. You are welcome to come back for a later round, and that round has its own Day 7 and its own credit. You would simply be starting the clock over.

Joining the Founding Cohort Waitlist locks three things for you: your $97 as a full credit, your founding price whenever enrollment opens, and first access ahead of everyone else.

If you go through more than one round, the credit applies to your most recent round only. Credits do not stack.

The credit is not redeemable for cash and has no cash value. It can only be applied to the price of From Lion to Lake or Inner Circle.

7. Your access to the material

When you buy a program, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use the material for your own purposes. That means you can:

  • Watch, read, listen to, print, and keep the material
  • Use the practices in your own life, for as long as you like

It does not mean you can:

  • Share your login, or give anyone else access to a program they did not buy
  • Copy, republish, post, or distribute the material, in whole or in part
  • Sell it, license it, or use it to build a competing program
  • Teach it as your own, or use it in your own paid or unpaid offerings
  • Record, screenshot, or transcribe live sessions or community conversations

How long access lasts. Downloadable materials, like the 5-Minute Reset audio and the Name Your Lions worksheet, are yours to keep. Access to a community space and to hosted course material lasts as long as we run that program, and we will give the email list reasonable notice before closing a space.

8. What belongs to whom

Our material is ours. The course content, written material, audio, worksheets, the name The Lion & The Lake, the logo, and the site design belong to The Lion & The Lake, LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

Your words are yours. What you write in the community stays yours. You are not signing your posts over to us.

We do need your permission to run the thing, so by posting you give us permission to display your post inside that community space and to keep it there while the space exists. That is all this covers.

Testimonials and marketing are separate, and we will always ask. We will not quote you, name you, or use anything you wrote in marketing unless we email you, describe the specific use, and you say yes. You can say no, and nothing changes if you do. If you say yes and later change your mind, tell us and we will stop using it going forward.

9. How we behave with each other in the community

The community exists because women say true things in it. That only works if it is safe, so these rules are not decoration.

What is expected of you:

  • What is shared in the room stays in the room. Do not screenshot, quote, forward, or repeat what another member wrote, anywhere, to anyone.
  • Do not give medical advice. Do not tell another member to stop a medication, skip a doctor, or try a treatment. Share your own experience if you want to. Do not prescribe.
  • Do not sell. No pitching your business, your coaching, your supplements, or your affiliate links.
  • Be kind. No harassment, no cruelty, no bigotry, no pile-ons.
  • Do not post anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to post.

What we can do about it. If you break these rules, we may remove the post, remove you from the community, or end your access entirely. Where we can, we will talk to you first, because most problems are misunderstandings. Where the breach is serious, particularly a breach of another member's confidence, we may act immediately.

If we remove you for breaking these rules, you are not owed a refund past the refund window in section 5.

10. Email

We send three kinds of email, and they work differently. Receipts and access details come with any purchase. The daily notes during a challenge week are part of the program you bought. Marketing email, meaning the weekly email, announcements, and news about other programs, only comes if you asked for it by ticking the box at checkout or signing up through a form. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never cancels a program you paid for. Our Privacy Policy explains all of this in more detail.

11. Ending things

You can leave any time. Stop using the site, unsubscribe from the emails, and leave the community. Section 5 governs whether money comes back.

We can end access if you break these terms, if you charge back a payment you actually owe, or if we stop offering a program.

12. The site itself

We work to keep the site and the programs available, but we cannot promise they will never go down. Kajabi hosts our site and their uptime is theirs, not ours. We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of what we offer.

The site and everything on it are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

13. Limits on what we owe you

To the fullest extent the law allows:

The Lion & The Lake, LLC and Elizabeth Reynolds are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or the programs. This includes lost profits, lost data, and loss of goodwill, whether or not we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site or a program will not exceed the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some states do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for willful misconduct, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

14. Your responsibility for your own choices

You are responsible for how you use this material and for the decisions you make about your own health and your own life. By taking part, you accept that responsibility, and you agree to hold The Lion & The Lake, LLC and Elizabeth Reynolds harmless from claims arising out of your use of the programs, your posts in the community, or your breach of these terms.

15. Privacy

How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

16. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Van Buren County, Michigan, or the federal district covering it, and you agree to that venue.

17. The usual last few

If part of this is unenforceable, the rest still stands.

If we do not enforce something right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

These terms, plus the Privacy Policy and the terms on any specific offer page, are the whole agreement between us about the programs.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell the email list. Changes do not apply retroactively to a purchase you already made.
